Recipe: Strawberry White Sangria
12:42Gosh, I love summer! This is closest to the best time of year for me. Sun gets up early and the day seems to last forever. I hate short winter days. But there's one thing about Ukrainian summer - the heat. I know summer is hot around the world. But here summer comes almost overnight leaving you absolutely unprepared for sunshine. One of my favorite summer parts is drinks. Cooling, energizing, and filled with summer flavors. Did you know Ukraine has he richest black soil? So strawberries are sooooooooo good.
Sangria is a Spanish drink traditionally made with red wine. But white wine is as perfect for it. There are lots of ways to make sangria, so you can use this recipe as a starter and then come u with your own.
You will need:
- A small cucumber for extra freshness
- A small lemon and/or orange
- A handful of strawberries
- A bit of mint
- A glass of vermouth
- A bottle of semisweet white wine (you don't need an expensive kind for this, expensive wine is usually good by itself J)
Slice all ingredients (cut strawberries in halves), add vermouth and wine. Then put it in a freezer overnight or let it cool for at least 4-5 hours. Done!! Now you can enjoy wonderful refreshing drink with great strawberry flavor and cool minty taste.
Hugs and kisses!
